ACTIVE project is organizing an online multiagency workshop on the 14th & 15th of October 2020 for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices on the prevention of violence against children in sports and leisure activities, with a specific focus on the involvement and engagement of relevant stakeholders.

During the workshop sports and child protection stakeholders will have the opportunity to test the self-assessment tool, which aims at enhancing the capacity of sports organizations in implementing child protection policies, as well as to exchange ideas about the upcoming capacity building program for sports coaches.

Sports play a decisive role in children’s development, promoting important values – such as teamwork, respect and commitment – social inclusion and a healthier lifestyle. In a period where solidarity, non-discrimination and tolerance are in the epicenter of interest, sports can be used as a vehicle not only to send positive messages across society but also to safeguard human rights.

👉 If you work in the field of sports or child protection join us, share your experience and learn more about ACTIVE and effective child protection policies in sports, from Scottish experts.
